Police uncover Dawood link to Mumbai terror

Moscow, Dec 10: Investigations into the Mumbai terror attack have pointed to the possibility of involvement of the underworld don Dawood, police revealed on Thursday.

Interrogation with the lone Mumbai terrorist caught by the police has led the security agencies to conclude that the persons who trained the 10 Pakistanis, who attacked various Mumbai installations, are the same who trained Indian Mujahideen recruits. On Wednesday, a top Russian official had said Dawood is involved in the Mumbai attacks. "The gathered inputs testify that infamous regional drug baron Dawood Ibrahim had provided his logistics network for preparing and carrying out the Mumbai terror attacks by the militants," Director of Russia's federal anti-narcotics service Viktor Ivanov said.
